Training on building science practices

("green building") guidelines; indoor air quality (IAQ) enhancement
recommendations; building based renewable energy applications; new building
energy codes implementation; and standards compliance and implementation. We
also provide training programs to national associations, product manufacturers,
government agencies, non-profit groups, and consumer groups.

and Home DIY-ers
Technical support --
We can provide computer studies on your project plans to
ensure excellent utility bill savings, and we can work with your architect or
designer to boost comfort and performance. Also, we will develop custom project
"eco-specifications" for your new or remodeled home based on many years
experience.
Costs for these services are in the range of $650 (computer study of typical single family home plans) to
$1,000.
We also provide complete "off grid" home planning services with
fees ranging from $1,500 to $3,000 depending on project complexity.

Building Environmental Science and
Technology (B.E.S.T.) custom-tailored consulting services are priced
competitively to help our clients gain an edge in implementing environmental
building techniques.
Technical Support Fees (updated)
Labor Rate
Basis:
B.E.S.T. labor rate is $110.00
hourly, fully loaded (through 1-2010).
Daily rate: $900.
Local travel billed actual based on time and mileage.
Travel
beyond 150 mile radius, billed as actual.
Travel day labor rate is 0.65 x
basic labor hours
We provide audited rates for Federal, State and Local
government projects, upon request.
Special rates available to IRS
accredited non-profits [ 501c3 ]
Residential
Specialties
Green building design support packages begin at $750
(single unit); w/retainer.
Typical maximum residential project technical
fees ~ $1,200.
Project Management /
